Ger's Blog 30/9/09

It's our third week of college already and it's hard to believe how fast the time has gone. I'm slowly getting used to the late nights and early mornings. The lectures seems to be moving along at a nice pace but one or two lecturers have mentioned exams already!

I'm kept busy constantly checking out my blackboard lectures and running backwards and forawrds between CIT and UCC, but at least the weather is nice .... for the moment anyway. Football trials have started in CIT so it provides a nice break from the educational side of the college life. I still don't know how to cook properly in my new apartment but with Apache Pizza just down the road I'm not too worried.

2nd Blog.

Today we had or first labs. They went quite well. We learned how to use microscopes and examine various biological samples. Most of our other labs also kick off this week which I'm looking forward to. They should be interesting and provide a good contrast to our class based lectures.

This week is also freshers week and there are lots of events going on around campus from food stalls to comedy shows. There are also a number of events on in town this week so I'm looking forward to checking those out. See you there.
